Personal Summary
I am thrilled to be joining the Connect Physical Therapy team! I am from Bainbridge and I completed my undergraduate degree at SUNY Geneseo, followed by my graduate degree at Messiah University. I then completed a one-year orthopedic residency with Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca to further specialize in the field of orthopedics, which allowed me to learn from and practice with experienced mentors.
My appreciation for physical therapy developed while running Division III cross country and track & field at SUNY Geneseo. While rehabbing my various injuries, I was inspired by the athletic trainers and physical therapists who were helping me return to running, and I knew I wanted to help others the same way. My treatment approach includes addressing the physical and psychosocial components of an injury, and tailoring treatment plans to a patient’s individual goals in order to get them back to the things that matter most to them. I believe physical therapy is most successful when it is a collaborative, one-on-one experience between the patient and therapist.
Outside of work you will find me running, spending time outdoors with my husband and our two dogs, and playing in Oneonta’s softball and volleyball leagues.
